What are Brandable Names and how do I choose a name?

Brandable means the words can be used for different products and services without having to change them. This is important because it saves time and money that would otherwise be spent on tediously rebranding a product or service. Branding has become an integral part of any successful business. The name of every product we use says something about its manufacturer, and people judge companies by their choice of brands:

A company's branding strategy determines its success. A good branding strategy differentiates the product or service from others of a similar kind and influences consumer choice. Brands help consumers select one product over another. When consumers choose a brand, they are also making a statement about themselves.

   As more companies try to establish their brands, the process becomes increasingly difficult and expensive because it takes money and time to convince people that they should buy certain products just because of the brand name on them. For instance, luxury goods manufacturers have to spend large amounts on advertising because building a brand is not enough by itself—consumers need to know that it exists first! That's just one product under one brand name, Coca-Cola has many products and they are not afraid to spend money on advertising because they know that people will buy their products just by seeing the logo, regardless of the price.

A brandable name is a word or words which are distinctive enough to be used as an individual identity for your company or product so other companies can't take it. It has to be unique enough for you to become synonymous with it in the minds of consumers, but this uniqueness should improve rather than diminish its memorability—you want customers talking about "your" brand, not another company’s! Now that you know the importance of picking up a good brand name for your company or product, let's look at how best to go about it.
